Warranty Policy

This RovingPOD Limited (“RovingPOD”, “we”, “us”, “our”) warranty applies to physical goods only, purchased directly from RovingPOD or from a RovingPOD authorised reseller. This warranty is provided in addition to your legal rights under UK consumer law, which remain unaffected.

1. What does it cover?

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship arising from normal, intended use of RovingPOD products during the applicable “Warranty Period” (see Section 3).

If you notify us of a defect during the Warranty Period, we will assess the issue. If a defect is confirmed and there are no signs of misuse, improper installation, or abnormal use, we will—at our sole discretion—repair, replace, or refund the affected part or product at no cost to you for parts or labour.

Repairs or replacements may include new or refurbished components.

2. Who is covered?

This limited warranty is provided to the original purchaser only, provided the product was purchased from:

  • The official RovingPOD website; or

  • A RovingPOD authorised reseller.

This warranty cannot be transferred or assigned to another person, whether through resale or any other means.

The original purchaser should contact RovingPOD directly for warranty assistance. See Section 4 for how to reach us.

3. How long does the coverage last?

For RovingPOD Products*, the standard warranty lasts:

5 years from the date of purchase

(See Section 6 for extended warranty coverage for Roof Tents.)

Product-specific exceptions:

  • Any product containing a battery:
    12-month warranty

*Exclusions: ex-demonstration, returned, or refurbished units may come with shorter coverage as specified at the time of sale.

4. How to get Warranty Service

If you purchased your RovingPOD product directly from us, please contact us using the form on our website (www.rovingpod.co.uk) with a detailed description of the issue.

We may request:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Photos or video evidence of the defect

If you purchased from an authorised reseller, please contact the reseller first—they will provide instructions and assist you in raising the warranty claim with us.

Following assessment, we will decide whether to:

  • Provide instructions for simple self-repair

  • Send replacement parts

  • Offer an immediate exchange

  • Authorise a return to RovingPOD for further inspection or repair

4.1 Field repair / replacement

Many parts can be replaced or repaired without returning the entire product.

If replacement parts are required, we will ship them free of charge using a carrier and service of our choice.

If you cannot perform the repair yourself, we may:

  • Contribute toward reasonable third-party repair costs (with prior agreement), or

  • Ask you to bring the unit to our facility at your expense

4.2 Factory return, repair or replacement

If a factory return is necessary, RovingPOD will cover collection and return shipping for products located within countries we currently ship to.

If you are outside these countries, you may be responsible for shipping costs.

Products confirmed as defective under this warranty will be repaired or replaced free of charge and shipped back to you at our cost.

Products where no defect is found will be returned at your expense.

5. What this Limited Warranty does NOT cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Products resold second-hand

  • Consumable or naturally degrading parts (e.g., fabrics, straps, coatings) unless defective on arrival

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, rust, fading)

  • UV damage that is cosmetic only

  • Damage caused by accident, abuse, improper installation, overloading, or extreme conditions

  • Damage caused by unauthorised servicing or modifications

  • Damage caused by continued use after warranting RovingPOD of a fault

  • Products used for commercial or rental purposes

  • Products where branding or serial identification has been removed or altered

6. 5-Year Extended Warranty for Roof Tent Products

For all roof tent models, RovingPOD offers an additional 3-year extended warranty (total of 5 years) covering defects in materials and workmanship arising from normal, intended use.

The extended warranty:

  • Begins after the 5-year limited warranty expires

  • Is non-transferable

  • Applies only to residential, non-commercial use

During the extended warranty period, RovingPOD will repair or replace defective components at minimum cost (the production/purchase price of the part + shipping).

All exclusions listed in Section 5 apply equally to the extended warranty.
