Plant A Tree Scheme
A tree planted with every single order
Order a RovingPOD and we plant a tree for you. A native broadleaf, in a British community forest, somewhere you could go and walk one day.
We do this with Carma, a B Corporation who handle the planting through UK forestry partners, on land funded by DEFRA’s community forest programme. They are rather better at growing trees than we are.
Your tree is paid for the day your order goes through. Carma matches it to a planting site within a few weeks, and it goes into the ground at that site’s next planting season, usually twelve to eighteen months later. Saplings go in during the dormant months because one planted into dry summer ground rarely makes it. Worth the wait for a tree that actually grows.
Why protecting Britain’s nature is important
Britain is one of the least wooded countries in Europe. Woodland covers about 10% of England and 14% of the UK. Across the EU the average is nearer 40%.
We sell tents for sleeping outdoors in this country, so putting something back into it felt like the least we could do. Every tree goes onto a community forest site, which means somewhere people can actually walk rather than tucked away on private land.
More woodland, more places to wake up in. That suits us nicely.

How this helps
The trees are the bit you can picture. There is plenty going on behind them too.
Every tree funded through Carma also supports UK Veterans and mental health services through their charity partners. Counselling sessions, land based training courses, and practical routes back into work for people leaving the forces.
So your tent buys a tree, and that tree helps somebody else get outdoors and back on their feet. We are rather proud of that one.
