How comfortable is sleeping in a RovingPOD?
Each RovingPOD includes a high-density foam mattress with washable cover, providing proper back support and comfort. The interior is insulated and ventilated for airflow, ensuring a cosy night sleep wherever you park.
Is the tent waterproof and suitable for UK weather?
Yes, completely. RovingPOD tents use 420D polyester rip-stop with a 3500mm waterproof rating, plus sealed seams and YKK heavy-duty zips. They are rated 4-season and tested to withstand winds up to 39mph (Gale Force 8) — built for British weather, designed in the UK.
How long does it take to set up the RovingPOD?
Setup takes just 60 seconds for the Ridge auto-opening hardshell, or under 5 minutes for the Haven — easy enough to do solo once the tent is mounted on your roof. Both use a fold-out design with gas-assist struts, so your RovingPOD transforms from travel-ready to sleep-ready without tools or fuss.
Will the RovingPOD roof tent fit my vehicle?
Absolutely. RovingPOD tents are designed to fit almost any car, van, or SUV equipped with standard roof bars or crossbars. As long as your roof is rated for at least 75kg dynamic load (printed in your owner manual), you are good to go. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your roof setup at hi@rovingpod.com and we will confirm compatibility for your exact make and model.
Is a RovingPOD easy to install?
Yes, a RovingPOD is super easy to install! It shouldn’t take any longer than 30 minutes. All you need are a set of good quality roof bars. Everything else comes in the box. During the installation you’ll need an extra pair of hands!
